Every successful marketer knows that personalization in the content is the key to success. If you want your content to convert then it has to read like as though you are speaking to your audience face to face.
So when you are putting so much effort into personalizing your content, then why not your Snippect that will help you convert?
Benefits of using custom Snippects
We encouraged several of our clients to use custom Snippects that were personalized to their content. As feedback, we got to know that for every blog length of 1000-1500 words, it took them only less than 5 min to create their custom Snippects.
With the custom Snippects, our clients observed an increase in the engagement rate and most importantly, conversion rate. This was obvious as custom snippects give the readers an opportunity to connect to the content.
How to create custom Snippects?
Creating custom Snippects is super easy.
Let’s break down the steps you need to follow here.
Step 1: Visit www.snippect.com and login to your account
Step 2: Create a new “Page” for your blog
Step 3: Open the page and add a new Snippect
Step 4: Select “Start with scratch” (you can even pick a template and edit it if you’d like)
Step 5: Give a name to your Snippect
Step 6: Add conversation (or edit it if you picked a template)
Step 7: Publish the Snippect by clicking on Publish in the Page home. Follow the steps mentioned in the dash.
Click on “Preview” and follow the instructions accordingly.
Using Prompts Vs Options
Now that you know the outline to creating a Snippect and publishing it, let’s get into the details that are needed while creating your conversation. We’ll get started by understanding the definition of both prompt and option-based texts.
- Prompt: A prompt is a simple message to the user that does not expect any response from the user’s end (no text box will show)
- Options: An option type message/question involves multiple options and requires the user to select one among the options provided.
In the image above, the conversation would move forward after the prompt is displayed. When the conversation flow is at the option-based message, it would wait to move forward until the user selects one among the two options given.
When you add a new text, the message is set to free text by default.
In order to change this, click on the drop down (where it says “Free text”) and select either prompt or options.
Understanding Rules, Branch and Display Logic
The capability to add conditions to messages is what makes Snippect an interesting tool to use. This takes personalization to a whole new level.
So, you know how to create the option-based messages/questions. Let’s now figure how we can generate personalized follow up messages with the help of conditions in Snippect.
In the earlier images, we created a new message titled “Q3”. We will use the same message to create an option-based question and configure conditions into it.
Now that we have created our message and given the options, we will go ahead and click on the “Rules, Branch and Display Logic” button [marked in the above image]. You should see a window pop-up on the right side of the screen having a button with the same title.
Once you click that, you would see a dash like this one.
Choose the values for the given fields according to the requirement. This follows the simple “If:Then” condition (If a condition is met:Then perform this action)
In our case, we will choose:
Field = Q3
Logic = Equals
Custom Value = Yes show me
Action = Redirect to URL
URL = https://snippect.com/
Everything you do on Snippect gets saved automatically (auto-save feature). So you don’t have to click anywhere to save your logic. Just Tab out.
You can use “Redirect to URL” option to divert your users from the content location to the landing page or the product/service page of your choice.
Now, we had 2 options in the message and we added logic for only one option. Hence, to sustain a good flow of conversation, we need to create a follow up response for the response “No thank you”.
In order to do that, we click on “Add Rule” on the same window. We fill in the required values to the fields.
The difference this time being, we are going to select our action as “Jump to another question” and by this we mean the follow up message.
So we quickly create the follow up message and name it Q4.
All we need to do now is enter the action value to Q4 and we are good to go.
It’s as simple as that!
